The Questions
1. What’s Your Favourite Book?
Starting off with the hardest of all questions to ask an avid reader!
I have so many! Do I choose a stand-alone???? A series??? Just one book from a series??? How am I meant to choose??? You can’t expect me to pick just one!
Curse whoever came up with these questions!
I have 26 book son my faves shelf on Goodreads! I think that’s a pretty good indicator that it is impossible for me to choose just one.
So I won’t.
Here are some of my favourites;
│Black Iris│Leah Raeder│
│Dangerous Girls│Abigail Haas│
│The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo│Taylor Jenkins Reid│
│Far From You│Tess Sharpe│
│The Nowhere Girls│Amy Reed│
│Bad Romance│Heather Demetrios│
2. What Was Your Favorite Book 5 Years Ago
│Looking For Alaska│John Green│
2013 was a rough year for me.
It was also the year I got my cat, Charlie.
Fun fact: His sister was named Alaska after the character of the same name in Looking For Alaska. We should have known better than to name her that because she quickly became the problem child, much like her namesake.
Looking For Alaska spoke to the part of me that yearned for rebellion but felt too guilty to do…Until I didn’t anymore and rebelled anyway.
3. Favourite Duology/Trilogy/Series?
Again, I can’t pick just one, don’t be ridiculous!
│Shades of Magic Trilogy│V. E. Schwab│
│Villains Series│V. E. Schwab│
I’m still yet to read Vengeful but I know I’ll love it!
│All for the Game Trilogy│Nora Sakavic│
│Six of Crows Duology│Leigh Bardugo│
│The Raven Cycle│Maggie Stiefvater│
I’ve only read the first book in the series but guys!! I loved it so much!!Â
4. What Was The Last Book You Read?
│Bad Romance│Heather Demetrios│
This book ripped me open. It was such an emotional and personal read for me.
If you’ve been in any kind of abusive relationship, this book will hit you like a fucking truck.
5. What Was The Last Book Of Poetry You Read?
I haven’t really read a poetry book before???
But my friend from work got me to read over her verse novel for Uni and it was so fucking good! There was Helen of Troy elements and it’s incredibly diverse.
I don’t think she’s capable of make an assignment not gay as hell.
6. What Book Most Influenced Your Life?
│Far From You│Tess Sharpe│
I think I have to go with this one.
Many of the books I have read have deeply influenced my life but this was the book I felt the most seen while reading.
The main character, like me, is bisexual, she’s got chronic pain and battles addiction. It’s not often that so many of my identities are represented in one book!
7. Book That Made You Ugly Cry?
│The Nowhere Girls│Amy Reed│
I cried so much while reading this book. Like absolutely sobbed.
I related to so many of its characters and my heart broke for all of them.
This book was heavy in every sense of the word.
8. Book That Made You Laugh?
│All for the Game Trilogy│Nora Sakavic│
There are so many lines in this series that are absolutely ICONIC!
Neil is savage when it comes to people pissing him off or hurting the ones he cares about.
All of the characters are hilarious! This book has the perfect balance of crushingly dark content and funny dialogue.
9. Character You’d Like To Be For The Day?
│Victor Vale│Villains Series│V. E. Schwab│
Guys Victor can control pain!
Now, I don’t want to go around making people feel pain. Okay, maybe there are some people I might want to do this too…
But as someone with a chronic illness who is in pain 99% of the time, having one whole day, completely pain-free???
Unheard of. Unrealistic. Fake news.
But if I was Victor Vale??? With the flick of a mental switch, I’d be golden. Unstoppable, even.
10. A Book That Was So Good You Dreamt About It?
Uh, the only time I dream about books is when I try to read on a Tuesday afternoon after working a morning shift and inevitably end up passing the fuck out and then my dream is my unconscious trying to continue the story.
Those dreams can be wild but I couldn’t tell you exactly what books that’s happened with.
11. Book You DNF’D?
So many???
│Heir of Fire│Throne of Glass #3│Sarah J. Maas│
This is probably the most popular book I’ve DNF’d.
The Throne of Glass series is just not for me.
I have DNF’d a total of 15 stand-alone books as well.
Most of those are ARCs.
I’ll try and give books a decent chance for the most part but sometimes I just physically cannot make myself read something.
12. What Book Are You Most Excited To Read?
Again, so many!
The most stand out ones for me are;
│Vengeful│Villains #2│V. E . Schwab│
I haven’t decided yet if I should just get this series in hardcover as I already have the special edition of Vicious or if I should get both in paperback??? Help??? I’m too indecisive!Â
│City of Ghosts│Cassidy Blake #1│Victoria Schwab│
I ordered this not long ago! Very excited to read it!Â
│The Raven Cycle│Maggie Stiefvater│
I got this whole series nearly a year ago and I read the first one over a year ago! But I really want to read this series next year! That’s the plan anyway.Â
I tag;
- Steff @Â Little Book Nook
- Krystin @ Here’s The Fucking Twist
- Michelle @ The Writing Hufflepuff
- Laura @ Green Tea & Paperbacks
- Ellyn @Â Allonsythornraxxbooks
Tags that want me to pick my favourites are always the hardest!
So I usually just ignore the whole pick one thing and do what I want because it’s my blog and don’t tell me how to live my life! You’re not my dad!
I hope you had fun reading this tag as much as I had writing it!
What are your fave books?
What book have you recently DNF’d?
Do you always follow the rules of a tag strictly?
Thank you for tagging me! ❤
Bad Romance is such a good book, I’m glad you talked about it!

It’s always been mine but I think it might be tied with turtles all the way down now. I might have to do a reread soon because it’s been YEARS since I read it last
