I love a good book adaptation. Hell, I even love ones that are not necessarily considered good! I am someone who tends to fall more on the side of appreciating the book vs the movie/show for what they are, each their own beast, with their own messages to tell.
There are too many books & not enough time to talk about them.
It's easy to get lost in the hype of your favourite, most popular books. It's easy to forget about the books that you still really loved and had an impact on you but haven't literally taken over your whole entire brain.
So let's talk about the quietly loved books.
Like every avid reader, I have a huge book wishlist at all times.
It comes with the territory I suppose. I'm always adding things to it. Usually books I've read from the library and loved so much that I want a copy of my own.
I know it's winter in America and also in a lot of places in the world but unfortunately I live in Australia! It is currently summer and everything's on fire.
No seriously, everything's on fire.
Ahhh another year nearly over, another TBR I ignored.
Well, to be fair I have actually read a lot of books I already own this year, which was my plan, compared to other recent years and yet I am still drowning in books.
That probably has more to do with the fact that I've also bought more books than I ever have in one year before. Oops.
For this post I'm going to focus on books that were released this year that I was looking forward to reading and then never did.
